Kilmuckridge

Kilmuckridge (Cill Mhucraise) is a small coastal village popular with weekend visitors and holidaymakers in the townland of Gorey in County Wexford, Ireland. The village serves the popular resort of Morriscastle, which as the name suggests was once the site of a Medieval Norman Castle. The beach is host to many rare flora and fauna and is a national heritage site. It has also been awarded the Green Coast Beaches award.

The village's popularity as a tourist resort and its excellent beach have encouraged much recent building and development including a substantial wind farm. The present rate of pace of growth has become a local issue. The village, formerly known as The Ford, is in the Catholic parish of Litter (Leitir, a hillside). Kilmuckridge boasts a number of historical buildings, restaurants and pubs.

The Catholic Church was built in 1796 and the Church of Ireland dates from 1815.
