Courtown Harbour around 5km from the N11 and a 90-minute drive from is a popular holiday resort in County Wexford in southeastern IrelandDublin.
Pirates Cove: It is home to Irelands first full length Krazy Golf in the form of "Pirates Cove" which also contains a 6 lane Bowling alley, internet Cafe, Fun Cave (for younger children), r/c boats and cars and a Diner.
The Carnivals: For as long as I can remember there have been "amusments" beside Pirates Cove. And now that it has passed ownership it is looking better than ever! This includes Waltzers, Giant Slide, Slot Machines, Doggems, Adult Slot machines and 10's and 10's of different racing, shooting and sport arcade games.
For the last two years there has been 2nd carnival which includes a kiddies rollarcoaster as well as doggems but it's main atraction is it's Giant Ferris Wheel.
Krazy Golf: Now there's something special lurking along the beach road.... Which may not strike you at first being worth your while.... But look at the bad concrete job on the course! Look at the clashing colours painted around the edge of the holes! Looking even worse, as there are some beautiful shrubs and bushes dashed around what can only be described as a field with some concrete poured into it! Look at the old hut (which may fall down) in which a bored, out of his mind teenager sits inside trying to manage a smile. Ah yes the course is over 50 years old! And for some will make them feel 50 years younger. It is what family holidays should be like! Too much fun is had by experiences through situations rather than the experiences you can make for yourself with people (your family). This hour can be the most enjoyable hour of your holiday!
The Beach: The beach is quite over run in the summer, but if you walk for 10 minutes in a direction that no one else is walking you can find the most fantastic spots. Tip; Go past the Sailing Club and a short rock walk to perfidious.....
The Forest: Certainly worth a walk on one of those hot summery days. Ask for the direction of the Burrow. Or just walk down along the beach and enter (where the trees are) there. There are tracks put out on the ground and once you get in you can see Courtown Golf course and only half an hour later you'll find Seafield. And perhaps some unfound teritorry or maybe if you go into the other woods you'll find the rope swing and the river? The large willows on the other side of the river!?? Search! Explore! (These woods are particularly good for this as the are very small and the likelihood of you getting lost is very low)
Sinnots + Flanaghans Wharf (the amusements): Flanaghans Wharf is more a spend money on computer games place but if you're looking for a place to maybe win some green Sinnots is the place! Look how the locals work the machines and most importantly which ones they're working!
Forest Park: It's an aqua palace with gym, sauna, jacuzzi, Mega Tunnell Slide and a huge swimming pool! Quite entertaining!
Golf Courses: For all the atraction of courtown there really cannot be a better place in Ireland to go on a golfing holiday! Courtown Golf Club is probably one of the finest golf courses in the south east region, and with the new exclusive Seafield course popping up only a couple of miles away, Ballymoney a golf course getting close to 10 years open and development now, the bunker 18 hole par 3 and various other quality courses within a 15 minute drive it really is a good match for any other destination! Also Last year opened Ireland First Fully automated Driving range beside Ballymoney Golf Course! This 28 section state of the art driving range offers professional help and lessons are available to anyone!
